What is the Maily Maintenance of Flat Vacuum Sanding Tables?

Botou Xintian Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer and trader integrating production and sales.

The flat vacuum sanding tables produced by our factory are flexible, high dust removal accuracy, and reasonable price.

The daily maintenance of flat vacuum sanding tables is crucial to the stability, service life and work efficiency of the equipment. The following are maintenance suggestions based on the general maintenance logic of the equipment, which are applicable to most types of flat vacuum sanding tables:

1. Basic cleaning and maintenance

Surface cleaning

After daily shutdown, use a dry soft cloth or compressed air (air pressure ≤ 0.4MPa) to remove dust and debris from the surface of the flat vacuum sanding tables and the grinding area to avoid particle accumulation affecting the operation of components.

The working surface of the grinding table (such as grinding discs and grinding pads) needs to be cleaned with special tools (such as scrapers and soft brushes) to remove residual abrasives to prevent damage to the workpiece or equipment after hardening.

Dust removal system maintenance

Filter element/filter screen cleaning: According to the dust concentration, use compressed air to blow back the dust filter element (blowing from the inside to the outside) every 1-3 days to remove the attached dust; if it is a paper or fiber filter screen, check it once a month and replace it if it is seriously blocked (refer to the equipment manual for specific cycles).

Dust box/bag cleaning: Dump the dust in time before each full box to avoid dust overflow and affect the suction; after dumping, check whether the sealing strip is damaged to prevent dust leakage.

Fan inspection: Monitor whether the fan noise is abnormal during operation, and wipe the dust on the surface of the fan impeller regularly to prevent dynamic imbalance.

2. Inspection and lubrication of key components

Grinding system

Grinding disc/grinding wheel: Check the degree of flat vacuum sanding tables surface wear daily. If there are obvious grooves or cracks, replace them in time; the fixing bolts/buckles need to be tightened once a week to prevent looseness and vibration.

Guide mechanism (such as guide rails, screws): wipe the surface of the guide rail with a clean rag every shift to remove dust and grinding debris, and apply special guide rail oil once a week (lubricant should be selected according to the material of the equipment to avoid corrosion).

Transmission parts

Belt/chain: Check the tightness of the belt (press the middle with your finger, the droop should be ≤10mm), and replace it in time if there are cracks or aging on the surface; drip lubricant on the chain every two weeks, and there should be no abnormal noise during operation.

Gearbox/bearing: Replace the gear oil after the first 50 hours of operation of the gearbox, and check the oil level and oil quality every six months thereafter; add lithium-based grease to the bearing part once a month (avoid excessive heat dissipation).

Control system

Electrical components: Use an insulating brush to clean the dust in the control box every week, check whether the terminal is loose, and whether the contactor contacts are oxidized (can be wiped with alcohol cotton balls).

Sensor: Keep the surface of sensors such as proximity switches and travel switches clean to avoid dust blocking the signal, and test the sensitivity regularly.

3. Operation status monitoring

Pre-start inspection

Confirm that the dust removal pipeline has no bends or air leaks, and all protective covers are installed in place; manually rotate the grinding disc before turning on the power to check whether it is stuck.

Observation during operation

Pay attention to the vibration amplitude of the flat vacuum sanding tables (the vibration value is ≤0.5mm/s during normal operation). If the vibration intensifies, the machine needs to be shut down to check the balance of the grinding disc or the tightening of the anchor bolts.

Monitor the air pressure of the dust removal system (the pressure gauge value should be within the rated range). A sudden drop in air pressure may be caused by filter blockage or pipe leakage.

Maintenance after shutdown

Before long-term shutdown (more than 24 hours), the working surface of the grinding table needs to be wiped clean and rust-proof oil applied to prevent moisture and rust; turn off the main switch after turning off the power.

4. Safety and precautions

Before maintenance, be sure to turn off the power and hang a "No Closing" warning sign to prevent accidental startup.

When replacing accessories such as filter elements and grinding discs, use original specifications or certified substitutes to avoid compatibility issues.

In humid environments, regularly check the moisture-proof measures of electrical components and install dehumidification devices if necessary.

Establish a maintenance record account to record the time and status of each cleaning, lubrication, and component replacement to facilitate the tracing of maintenance cycles.

5. Abnormal situation handling

Degradation of dust removal effect: First check whether the filter element is blocked and whether the pipeline is leaking, and then confirm whether the fan speed is normal (may be caused by belt loosening or motor failure).

Abnormal grinding accuracy: Check the flatness of the grinding disc, whether the workpiece fixation is loose, or whether the guide mechanism is worn (such as guide rail straightness deviation).

Abnormal noise or overheating: Stop the flat vacuum sanding tables immediately and check the transmission parts (such as bearing wear, poor gear meshing) or motor heat dissipation problems (clean the motor fan dust).

The above maintenance measures can effectively reduce equipment failures and extend service life, while ensuring grinding accuracy and workshop environment cleanliness. The specific operation needs to be combined with the instructions provided by the equipment manufacturer to adjust the maintenance details for special structures (such as wet grinding tables and explosion-proof dust removal systems).
